in the frame of THEALTER festival

The training will focus on the body as a physical phenomenon. Flesh, blood and bones. Alone in space, without meaning in itself. Like letters on a sheet of paper.
We will take a look at inner images as well as texts by Ottó Tolnai and try to 'punctuate' space as a frame for the theatre. We will attempt to conceive, perceive and use our own physicality, and the space around us, with greater awareness. We will try to connect objectivity and subjectivity, sensation and fiction.
An intensive physical training gives the actor/actress an opportunity to use his/her imagination in a creative way, to improve his/her creative powers and to discover new territories in himself/herself for future work.

The training is primarily for university students.
Free entry.
Maximum number of participants: 12
The training will end with a 20-25 minute long performance created during the sessions and presented on 24 July at 11 a.m. as part of THEALTER's programme.

Let’s Talk!

Let’s Talk! is an informal meeting for theatre festival managers on 18 July 2010, within the frame of THEALTER festival .

It is intended to be an informal meeting to gather representatives of theatre festivals and offer them a place to meet and discuss ideas, to network and to find potential partners for future cooperation on an EU level. We primarily expect festival people from the Central/Eastern/Southern European region, Hungarian festival managers are also welcome to join us.

Thanks to the support of OSI – Open Society Institute, THEALTER festival can offer accommodation and two meals a day for a limited number of participants from abroad, for about 10 managers.
